The Memorial Bridge may be Charlevoix's most notable landmark and attraction. The bridge spans the Pine River which connects Lake Michigan to Round Lake. The bridge opens every half-hour during the summer to let boats leave and enter Round Lake. Several different bridges have crossed the river since 1869. The current structure was completed in 1949.
