University of Colorado at Boulder

One of the first things you notice when entering Boulder are the red flagstone buildings on the CU Boulder campus. The campus is often recognized as one of the nation’s most beautiful due to its location at the foot of the majestic Boulder Flatirons and distinctive Tuscan architecture. Founded in 1876, the CU Boulder campus spreads across more than 600 acres with many old stone buildings featuring red Spanish tiled rooftops.
