Chautauqua Auditorium

Chautauqua Park Boulder, Colorado

I found this location by accident one morning when I was looking for a trailhead. We had just received a heavy snow, and the fog was lifting around the Flatirons. The historic Chautauqua Auditorium (1898) located at the base of the majestic Flatiron Mountains, is home to the Chautauqua Summer Festival and the Colorado Music Festival. The massive Flatirons are unique sandstone formations cropping out from base of the Rocky Mountains and can be seen from almost every vantage point in Boulder. Photo © copyright by Mike Barton.
