Snowy Creek
Front Range, Colorado
Another March snowstorm left the mountains with a blanket of heavy snow. I watched the forecast the night before, and the weatherman said to expect only about an inch, so I didn’t plan to get up early to photograph. When I woke up and looked out the window, it was a winter wonderland. I cursed the weatherman and then myself for listening to him as I scrambled to get my gear ready to go. Fortunately, the temperature was in the teens and I was able to drive to this location before the snow melted. Photo © copyright by Mike Barton.
