This photo was taken in the fall of 2005 along Kebler Pass near Crested Butte. I was actually set to shoot the overly photographed Dykes when I turned around and saw this group of aspens behind me. The diffused light from the partly cloud skies prevented the peak colors and aspen trunks from washing out. Photo © copyright by Mike Barton.
