Lush cottage gardens surround many of the Carmel storybook cottages. Fences come to life with an abundant array of vibrant flowers and foliage. Some of the wooden pickets are intentionally misaligned to give a cartoonish look. Many of the storybook homes have well groomed pathways leading up to front doors.
